What they are asking you to do is considered money laundering and is 100% against both US and European laws
Any business operating in the US or EU is required by law to be a registered company with a tax ID number and process all financial transactions through a merchant banking account. By using your personal bank account and Western Union they are committing tax evasion, money laundering, and other federal offenses – not to mention bank fraud as the checks they will send you will be counterfeit or stolen
And guess who goes to prison? The scammers who are based overseas where US law enforcement has no jurisdiction? Of course not. They didn’t use their account to deposit business checks. They didn’t wire money overseas. YOU will – you are the one who is actually breaking the law.
DO NOT send these criminals any personal details and report them at once to the FBIs IC3 division for investigation
If you really believe that there are companies who are going to hire a random person they have never met to handle any financial transactions for them, you need to stop looking for jobs online or you will fall for one of these scams and spend up to 10 years in federal prison. Ignorance of the law is no excuse
