asked:
I did double major in economics and social science general at a state university, cant seem to find a job. While my friend who did 2year community college (surgical tech) has a great job at the hospital.
I feel i made a mistake by going to a 4year university and studying the majors that i did, should i go back and restart studying in the medical field?
We live in MI.
Probablyshould have added that i had a baby 2years ago, so i haven’t worked for 2 solid years.
I been sending my resumes like crazy for the past 3 months, but no one is answering.
Im 26 years old, and im thinking to do my masters in masters of health care admin, but from what i seen majority of jobs out there are either too low for my experience/education or too high.. cant seem to find something in the middle for me.

Not at all. Those are excellent choices, but ones that may require you to have further education. Look into Business Administration. With your start in economics and general social sciences you are in a good position to move into executive level business options. You just need a few more letters after your name.
You also could go into law, but I’m not sure what the demand is like for lawyers these days.
Do some job searches to see where the interesting openings are.
talk to counselors at your alma mater.
No, don’t for one second believe you made a mistake by studying major for the careers you will enjoy the most. Our economy is crashing
